Abstract

Theorists of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) on several occasions cite creativity as a relevant and necessary process. Seeking to understand how the ACT literature cites and classifies creativity, in addition to investigating whether there is a relationship between it and Psychological Flexibility, an integrative review was carried out in the Journal of Contextual Behavioral Science with the descriptors: (creative OR creativity). A total of 85 articles were found and 56 were selected for analysis. The results mention the relevance of creativity as part of its theoretical model or as part of its experimental process, however, only briefly and without an adequate theoretical foundation. Finally, no studies were found that directly related creativity to Psychological Flexibility.
