Abstract

The aim of the present study was to review research articles from the scientific literature of the last 10 years that contribute to the understanding of values-based interventions from the perspective of functional contextualism for populations whose complaints are centered on antisocial behaviors. This systematic review was conducted in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA 2020) research protocol. Based on the analysis using inclusion and exclusion criteria, eight articles were retained for the study. Values-based interventions demonstrated promising results in reducing aggressive behaviors, impulsivity, and experiential avoidance, as well as remission of criminal acts such as Intimate Partner Violence. Some limitations were identified, especially the scarcity of Brazilian research and the need to explore hypotheses in other populations.
